How much do solar panels cost in Melbourne?
It depends on the system size, your roof, the panels and inverter you choose and whether you add a battery. Federal Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) reduce the upfront price of most systems, and eligible Victorian households may also receive a Solar Victoria rebate. After looking at your roof and power bills we give you a clear, itemised written quote, so there are no surprises.
How long does a solar installation take?
Most home installations are finished in one to two days on site. Before that, network pre-approval and any rebate approval can take a few weeks, and we guide you through that paperwork.
Do solar panels work in Melbourne's winter and on cloudy days?
Yes. Panels still generate on cloudy days, just less than in full sun. Systems are sized on yearly output, so strong spring and summer production balances out the shorter winter days.
Do you handle the approvals and paperwork?
Yes. We look after the connection application to your electricity distributor, the certificate of electrical safety and the STC paperwork, and we help you with any Solar Victoria rebate application you are eligible for.
What warranties come with a new system?
Quality solar panels usually carry long manufacturer performance warranties (often 25 years or more), while inverters and batteries typically come with 5 to 10 year warranties. Every warranty is listed on your quote, and we support you if you ever need to make a claim.
What maintenance does a solar system need?
Very little. Keep an eye on your monitoring app, check panels are not heavily shaded or dirty, and have a licensed, accredited electrician check the system is safe every year. We offer ongoing maintenance and support.
